Tae Kwon Do Academy
After School Program
The Tae Kwon Do Academy offers an after school program where students are picked up from surrounding schools and transported to the Academy. Homework is enforced and healthy snacks are given to all. The children then participate in a Tae Kwon Do class, a Korean martial art of self-defense. We are not just another karate school. We use the martial arts to accomplish the following...instill discipline, respect, temperament and healthy living. Coordination and proper body mechanics are learned through Tae Kwon Do. Homework and good grades are important to us. Each quarter, we reward the 3 students with the highest grades with prizes. Fridays are what we call "Fun Days," a day of no homework, lots of games and pizza!
Mr. Jacob Davis, a black belt with twenty plus years of experience, is the owner and head karate instructor. We also have on staff Ms. Argie, a Physical Therapy Masters candidate, and the director of childcare at the Academy. She works with the children on homework and promotes healthy living. The Tae Kwon Do Academy is approved by the Baltimore County Public Schools and licensed by the Child Care Administration.
An there's more! We also offer a Summer Camp Program. Special introductory prices are available for those who register before June 1st. We go swimming to the National Zoo, the Ravens practice, and much more.
